Trevor and I have been blessed beyond measure with our two boys. We are thankful and humbled to be given the awesome responsibiliy of raising them into God fearing men. "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Pr. 22:6. Please pray that we train them accordingly as we journey through parenthood. Lane is four now and has very naturally taken on his big brother role. He watches out for Luke, which is really helpful. Throughout the day I hear, "Mama, Luke's on the table, in the trash can, in your closet", or "Luke took his diaper off", etc. Spare time these days is rare, but they're so much fun. We hope everyone enjoys seeing the boys and we'll try to keep it updated frequently.

Future Firefighters in Training

Playdough Fun

We made a new batch of playdough a few weeks ago. Lane likes to add the food coloring.
What little boy can resist mixing all the colors together.

It is kind of pretty in an abstract sort of way.

Brights Eyes

"These are some really big shoes to fill."

This was at cousin Emily's birthday party.

A new farmer in town

Look who's driving now. Lane looks a little scared.

The Big Day!

Lane and Luke want to say thank you to everyone who made their birthday so special.

We couldn't cut the cake fast enough for Lane.

Luke didn't care much about opening presents. He was quite content with his plastic spoons.
This tractor woke Trevor and me up at 5:30 the next morning. Lane just couldn't wait to play with it again.
These are my sister's oldest three girls, Elley Brooke, Brenley and Sally. Aren't they just precious.

Party Preparations

Lane enjoyed helping me make their birthday cakes.

Cutie Pies!

These were taken back in August.

Watermelon Parade

Lane had so much fun watching the parade. This is the first parade that he really knew what was going on. He was hesitant to run after the candy at first, but got over it quickly.

Luke had a pretty good time too.

Twins?

I have a lot of people in the grocery store ask me if they are twins. Trevor and I can't see it. We don't think they could be more different.

Luke has a few inches to go before he catches brother, but he's gaining fast.

Cool hat.

Luke gets really angry when he finishes eating. Trevor jokes that he'll have to get another job to feed him.

Mr.Fix-it

That's a Whopper!

This is Lane's first of what I'm sure will be many fishing adventures. During Jackie's last visit we all went to Mr. Walter Cason's pond and had a great time.

He was so excited. He kept going to the cooler to look at his trophy.

First Harvest

This is Lane inspecting a radish from our vegetable garden. This was about two months ago. Since then, he's picked everything from squash and tomatoes to potatoes and corn. But his favorite are the peppers. I think it's because he knows they're Daddy's.

John Deere

To say Lane likes his tractor would be an understatement. It took him about an hour to grasp the concept of steering, and now he drives with no hands. He says it's just like Papa Teate's, although Papa Teate's is red, it's close enough for Lane. Thank you, Nana for spoiling me rotten.

He even lets brother tag along.

Play Time

This is how Trevor spends his evenings. As you can see, Luke is really starting to get in on the action. Lane doesn't even give Trevor time to get cleaned up. He doesn't care if Daddy's dirty, anyway.

Luke still really likes his excersaucer, but only for a few minutes at a time.

He makes the funniest expressions sometimes.

Twenty years from now, Lane won't believe he fit in this wagon.

Lane and I built this tractor with his K'nex. He loves playing with them, but now that brother is mobile, we have to be sure not to leave the little pieces on the floor.

Brotherly Love

This is my favorite recent picture of the boys. I have it as the background on my cell phone. Notice Luke's tongue...that means he's happy.

Happy Luke

Luke was watching Lane and Trevor play from his swing and got very excited. I caught the tail end of his performance.
